SCREEN PRINTING F.A.Q.
We love DIY and now A Little Bit Hippy has added a screen printing department! Specializing in plastisol and water-based inks on a four color manual press, our screen printing strikes a balance between bright detailed prints and comfortable to wear prints. We use high end garments to create the detailed custom look that our retail customers are shopping for.
With the addition of our screen printing department A Little Bit Hippy is able to offer merchandise printing services to the public. High end boutique screen printing is perfect for smaller garment orders like bridesmaid and groomsmen gifts, club tees, and personal or corporate gift giving. Shop our handmade clothing and gift line or create your very own, we are here to help you make it a reality.
A Little Bit Hippy is always pushing the limits on what's trending and we seek to offer you more than just another tee shirt. Our focus is strictly on quality over quantity with no minimum order requirements on garments produced in our screen printing studio. Some of our favorite business to business clients include Yoga Jam, Clean Valley Council, Twin Creeks, The Sluggers, and Homes & Hills Realty.
MINIMUM ORDER REQUIREMENTS: A Little Bit Hippy does not have a minimum order requirement.
LEAD TIME: Orders are scheduled on a first come, first serve basis. Average lead time is 10-14 days from the receipt of payment. Lead time is not guaranteed. If your order is time sensitive we suggest you allow at least the full 14 days lead time for order production. Orders containing multiple designs may take longer.
MAXIMUM PRINT SIZES: We do not offer oversize or all over printing. Artwork will be sized to fit the smallest garment in the order unless otherwise specified.
SCREEN FEES: In order to maintain our no minimum order requirement policy we charge a screen fee of $10.00 per color.
INK COLOR CHANGES: Ink color changes are $10.00 per color.
PRODUCT AVAILABILITY: A Little Bit Hippy reserves the right to substitute products of comparable value and/or color when an item is unavailable from the manufacturer.
RUSH ORDERS: We do not offer rush orders at this time. We do not offer same day screen-printing services. Rush shipping is available once production of your garments is complete.
PAYMENTS AND CANCELLATIONS: Your order must be paid in full prior to production. We accept cash, check, and credit or debit cards. Payment of your invoice will be considered approval of invoice and digital artwork proof even when no other verbal or written consent is provided. Online payment instructions will be included on your invoice and your order can not be canceled after final payment is made.
ARTWORK: Word (.doc), PowerPoint (.ppt), Excel (.xls), Rich Text Format (.rtf), Graphics Interchange Format (.gif), Png (.png), Bitmap (.bmp) files will not be accepted. Files submitted outside of the suggested formats below are subject to additional design charges and possible production delays.
Your artwork must be submitted in one of the following formats:
Adobe Illustrator (.ai)
Encapsulated PostScript (.eps)
Portable Document Format (.pdf)
Vector files are the preferred file types. All your fonts should be be converted to outlines.
PHOTOSHOP FILES: (.psd) Photoshop files must be created at 300dpi or higher in the exact print size desired or larger. JPEG and TIFF files will only be accepted if saved at 300dpi in the exact print size. All your font layers should be rasterized.
Artwork creation is charged at an hourly rate of $50.00/hr. With a one hour minimum. The hourly rate also applies when changes are made to artwork that is not submitted to within the required artwork guidelines.
Artwork is kept on file for reorder purposes. Created and/or recreated artwork and associated files remain the property of A Little Bit Hippy. Any printed proofs, films, or screens remain the property of A Little Bit Hippy and may be discarded without notice.
ARTWORK APPROVAL: New artwork or copy changes are approved by you with digital proofs sent to the email provided with your quote. Approval of artwork proof is required in order to begin production of your order.
RELABELING: A Little Bit Hippy offers relabeling of your garments for an additional $3 per garment.
SHIPPING: Orders that require shipping will be shipped with USPS unless otherwise requested. Shipping time is not included in lead time. Customers may also use their own shipping accounts.
SUPPLIED GARMENTS: All garments supplied to A Little Bit Hippy for screen printing must be new and unwashed. If supplying garments for multiple designs, your garments must be sorted and labeled for each design. Individually bagged garments must be completely removed from their packaging and sorted according to size. Packaged or unsorted garments may be subject to a sorting fee of $50.00. Please provide a detailed list of garments being supplied, including Brand, Style Number, Color and Size. Garments should be clearly labeled with your first and last name. Supplied garments can only be dropped off or shipped to our location once your invoice has been paid in full. Any garments left at A Little Bit Hippy for more than 45 days will be considered abandoned and are donated or discarded. A Little Bit Hippy is not responsible for manufacturer/mill defects on provided garments. Please check all your items thoroughly. We may be unable or refuse to print on certain garment types. The best garments for screen-printing are 100% cotton. If you have questions please call us.
PHOTOGRAPHY AND SOCIAL MEDIA: We are active on social media including Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. All of our work is subject to photography and/or video documentation by employees of A Little Bit Hippy and may be used in newsletters, on our website, or in social media posts from our official accounts unless otherwise agreed upon.
CLAIMS & RETURNS: All claims related to your order must be made within 72 hours from receipt of the order. Please contact us immediately if there are major errors or problems with any order. Exchanges are only offered on unworn, unwashed orders that are returned in full. Partial returns will be satisfied by credit or refund on approved claims. Shipping costs are never refunded.
All orders are subject to an industry standard 3% +/- spoilage. If an exact number of items are required, please be sure to include a few extras in your order.
DISCLAIMERS: A Little Bit Hippy is not responsible for manufacturer variances in size/color/construction of garments. Inks and garments can vary in appearance depending on brand and post-production care. Garments should be washed inside out on a gentle cycle to maximize longevity. A Little Bit Hippy reserves the right to refuse service without explanation.
